Properly editing the Milky Way

After our Colorado trip, I still wasn’t too happy with how my Milky Way photos turned out. Stumbling across a Peta Pixel article, I found a video showing how to properly edit Milky Way photos.

My original edit:

A portion of the Milky Way just after midnight overlooking Winter Park, Colo., on July 28, 2016. Canon 5D Mark III Canon 17-40 f/4 @ 17mm f/4 30 seconds ISO 2500

It’s a subtle but big difference.
